About Membrane Switch

Membrane switch panel is an operating system that integrates key functions, indicator elements, and instrument panel. It consists of four parts: panel, upper circuit, isolation layer and lower circuit. When the membrane switch is pressed, the contact of the upper circuit is deformed downward, and the contact with the pole plate of the lower circuit is turned on. After the finger is released, the contact of the upper circuit rebounds, the circuit is disconnected, and the circuit triggers a signal.

Circuit principle of membrane switch

The main structure of the membrane switch panel is generally composed of buttons and membranes. The thickness of the membrane switch is generally controlled at about 0.15mm. If it is too thin, there is no rebound force, and the use of the switch is not so sensitive.

When making flat-type switches, when choosing a film, they tend to choose a slightly higher thickness to ensure long-term use of the product. Another type of panel used for circuit contacts requires a slightly thinner type. Only when the diameter of the bubble is compared, a thinner film is selected.

The design of the overall structure of the membrane button is very simple. When you get a touch keypad membrane panel, you only need to take off the button cover to see the circuit and circuit board of the panel.

When the shape of the designed button is relatively large, it is best to choose a film with a thickness of 0.18 mm. This thickness of the film is moderate in thickness and has a good rebound effect. It can be used frequently and is not easily damaged. If the selected film thickness is not enough, it is easy to penetrate. Make the membrane switch insensitive.

Membrane switch panel has many advantages of buttons. Its Circuit principle is outstanding compared with other different types of buttons. It is a lot of conductive metal points welded on a conductive film. Each button can be connected to the same membrane switch. How the buttons of the membrane switch panel work, can achieve different control effects. The membrane switch panel has a barrier layer. Its function is to make a button and the panel react when no one presses.
