Trouble Shooting for Membrane Keypad Circuit Printing

Elimination of common faults in switch circuit printing

The main reason why the resistance value of the switch line is too large:

The silver paste was not sufficiently stirred before printing.

The line baking time is insufficient after printing, and the temperature is low.

The selected wire mesh is too fine.

  • The silver paste of the printed circuit is too thin.

  • The silver paste is too thin, and too much thinner is added, so that the silver content is too small or a non-silver paste special thinner is used.

  • The line graphic design is unreasonable.

  • The quality of raw materials such as silver paste is not good.

According to the above reasons, as a membrane switch manufacturer, we usually adopt the following methods to eliminate the solution:

  • Before printing, make sure that the silver paste is fully stirred. When adding the silver paste, it must also be fully stirred.

  • Master and control the baking time and temperature.

  • Replace the screen with coarser mesh to make a qualified screen

  • To change the plate-making method, consider using a thick plate.

  • Check the concentration of silver paste, pay attention to control the addition of thinner, and ensure that the thinner matching with the silver paste is used.

  • Check whether the circuit design is reasonable, and make necessary improvements to the designed circuit.

  • Replace the raw materials such as silver paste that meets the requirements.

You must now have a certain understanding of tactile and non-tactile switches. Membrane switch is a very good electronic accessory, widely used in medical, military, marine, and agricultural, etc. Niceone-tech can provide various types of touch keypad membrane keyboards/switches.
